John McBain

Chief Executive Officer – Centuria Capital

John joined the Centuria Board (formerly Over Fifty Group) on 10 July 2006. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Over Fifty Group in April 2008.

John was also a founding director and major shareholder in boutique funds manager Century Funds Management, which was established in 1999 and acquired by Over Fifty Group in July 2006.

Prior to forming Century in 1999, he founded property funds manager Waltus Investments Australia Limited and Hanover Group Pty Limited a specialised property consultancy. Waltus was formed in 1995 and was one of the first dedicated property funds managers in Australia.

Prior to 1990 John held senior positions in a number of property development and property investment companies in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

John holds a Diploma in Urban Valuation (University of Auckland).

Matthew Coy

Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary

Matt CoyMatt was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Centuria Capital (formerly Over Fifty Group) in October 2008. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of Financial Controller at Century Funds Management, a company acquired by Over Fifty Group in July 2006.

Matt has been associated with Century since 1999 with the joint founding of Bankminster Properties Limited.  He was appointed an additional Company Secretary in October 2009.

Matt has over 25 years experience in accounting, finance, company secretarial and business management, particularly within the property services sector.

Prior to his appointment to Century Funds Management, he held key financial directorships with Colliers Jardine over a 10 year period. He has an extensive background in financial reporting as well as commercial and business management.

Matt holds a B.Bus from the University of Technology Sydney and is a member of the CPA.

Terry Reid

General Manager – Friendly Societies & Company Secretary

Terry ReidTerry joined Centuria (formerly Over Fifty Group) in 1990 after six years in auditing and 12 years in the financial services industry, specialising in finance, accounting and taxation.

Terry was the Group Financial Controller of Over 50s Mutual Friendly Society Limited before he became the Chief Financial Officer of Over Fifty Group upon demutualisation of Over 50s in 2001.

He was appointed Company Secretary in December 2007 and took up the position of General Manager – Friendly Societies in October 2008.

He has a Diploma of Business Studies from Swinburne College of Technology, has been a chartered accountant since 1975 and is PS 146 compliant under ASIC’s requirements for knowledge and skill as required by the Financial Services Reform Act 2001.

Jason Huljich

Chief Executive Officer – Centuria Property Funds

Jason HuljichJason became Chief Executive Officer of Centuria Property Funds (formerly Century Funds Management) in July 2006 and a Director of the Centuria Capital Board in November 2007.

In his role he is responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring the effective operation of Centuria’s property portfolio. Jason is a hands-on leader and is actively involved in all corporate transactions, property acquisitions, investment structuring and regularly meets with investors and their advisers.

Jason has extensive experience in the commercial property sector with specialist skills in private property investment. Prior to joining Centuria, Jason worked for a prominent Sydney property development company and in 1997 joined the Hanover Property Group where he specialised in lease and sales management for the group. He was intimately involved in the syndication arm of Hanover Group – Waltus Australia, which was responsible for approximately $80 million in property syndication. At the conclusion of the joint venture with Waltus, Jason joined Century Funds Management.

Jason currently sits on the National Executive Committee of the Property Funds Association (PFA). PFA is the peak industry body representing the $32 billion direct property investment industry.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Commercial Law).

Julian Blackley

Group Head of Finance

Julian BlackleyJulian joined Centuria Capital in February 2011.  In his role, Julian is responsible for all aspects of finance across the Centuria Group.

Prior to joining Centuria, Julian worked with Meinhardt International Group in Singapore as the global CFO following his four years with Babcock & Brown (B&B) in the Corporate and Structured Finance Team.  Julian was principally acting as the CFO and subsequently the CEO and CFO of Global Investments Limited, one of the listed funds established by B&B.

Prior to that, Julian was a senior manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers having spent approximately nine years in their financial services audit and transaction services business in Sydney and New York.

Julian holds a Bachelor of Business, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
